Gregory Weinstein, MD, FACS

Dr. Gregory Weinstein is the Professor and Vice Chair of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Director of the Division of Head and Neck Surgery, and Co-Director of The Center for Head and Neck Cancer at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Together with Bert W. O’Malley Jr., M.D., Dr. Weinstein developed the first in the world research program in Transoral Robotic Surgery (TORS). Drs. Weinstein and O’Malley were the first to describe numerous TORS techniques for cancers and benign lesions of the pharynx and larynx. Dr. Weinstein was the Principal Investigator on the world’s first clinical study of Transoral Robotic Surgery and has authored numerous articles describing new techniques Dr. Weinstein is widely regarded as one of the nation’s top surgeons, and was Recognized by Best Doctors in America in 2003-2004, 2005-2006, 2007-2008 and by America’s Top Doctors, in 2007, 2008.
